Software Engineer
Application Support Engineer focused on maintaining and troubleshooting enterprise applications across Windows and Linux environments, leveraging PowerShell, SQL, and Azure services to ensure high availability and performance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tier‑2/3 support for critical business applications, diagnosing and resolving complex issues across Windows Server and Linux platforms.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation workflows to streamline incident response and routine maintenance tasks.
- Monitor application health using Azure Monitor and other monitoring tools, proactively identifying and mitigating potential outages.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to implement patches, upgrades, and configuration changes.
- Document troubleshooting steps, create knowledge base articles, and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for junior staff.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in application support or system administration in a production environment.
- Strong proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, PowerShell, and SQL Server.
- Hands‑on experience with Azure services (VMs, App Services, Azure Monitor).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure during incidents.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer‑centric mindset.
