Software Engineer
Provide expert technical support and solutions for power system protection schemes, advising customers on relay configuration, fault analysis, and integration with IEC 61850 and SCADA platforms to ensure grid reliability and safety.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced technical support for protection relay hardware and software, troubleshooting complex protection scheme issues.
- Design, configure, and validate protection settings for transmission and distribution systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct fault analysis and system studies to recommend optimal protection strategies.
- Integrate protection solutions with IEC 61850, SCADA, and other communication protocols, providing seamless interoperability.
- Develop and present training materials, webinars, and on‑site workshops for customers and internal teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 3+ years of experience in power system protection.
- Strong knowledge of protection relay configuration, fault analysis, and protection system design.
- Hands‑on experience with IEC 61850, SCADA integration, and related communication standards.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and customer‑facing skills.
- Ability to travel for customer visits and field support as needed.
