Software Engineer
Lead the design, development, and deployment of a DoD-wide TCPED workflow platform using Appian, Java, and AWS, ensuring compliance with IC standards and delivering mission‑critical OSINT capabilities.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Appian applications for TCPED workflow management, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Integrate off‑the‑shelf and custom components with existing DoD architecture using Java, SQL, and RESTful services.
- Leverage AWS cloud services (EC2, RDS, S3) to deploy and operate the platform, optimizing performance and cost.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to enforce IC standards, policies, and TS/SCI clearance requirements.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration pipelines to maintain high code quality.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing enterprise applications in Appian and Java.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Hands‑on experience deploying applications on AWS.
- Knowledge of OSINT processes and TCPED concepts is highly desirable.
- TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain it within 90 days.
