Design and execute test strategies for Android TV and set‑top‑box platforms, building robust launchers and ensuring seamless user experiences using Java, Kotlin, Android SDK and automated UI testing tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for Android TV and set‑top‑box (STB) platforms.
- Architect and validate TV launcher experiences in compliance with Google TV / Android TV UX guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define test plans, create test cases, and track defects throughout the development lifecycle.
- Implement continuous integration pipelines to run UI and functional tests on real devices and emulators.
- Analyze test results, diagnose issues, and provide actionable feedback to improve product quality and performance.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Android TV, Set‑top‑Box platforms, and the Android SDK.
- Proficiency in Java and Kotlin for test script development.
- Hands‑on experience with UI automation tools (e.g., Espresso, UI Automator, Appium) and device debugging (ADB, logcat).
- Familiarity with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control (Git).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in an agile, cross‑functional environment.
