Software Engineer
Leads the Business Intelligence team to design, implement, and maintain data solutions for healthcare, driving data quality, governance, and visual insights using SQL, Tableau, and other BI tools while guiding strategy and user education.
At Franciscan our Analytics Manager is responsible for overseeing the Business Intelligence (BI) team's strategy, implementation, and maintenance to enhance healthcare data quality and information management. This role involves partnering with data management and analytics teams to establish standards, policies, and documentation best practices while promoting user education, training, and data governance. Leading a team, the manager will guide the creation of data visualizations and insights for organization-wide use, manage data collection and analysis to understand customer trends and operational performance, and provide performance reporting to support strategic decision-making.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Develop analytics capabilities across the company, including self-service capabilities through technology implementation, best practices and training. Ensure team members serve as a trusted advisor to clients on analytics and data.
Understand the department's capabilities, possess knowledge of what data is available for analytics, and stay informed of where data is located to effectively guide staff and to establish realistic estimates of effort and time to complete tasks.
Establish and safeguard data quality, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure data quality, structure, accessibility and presentation meets business needs.
Solve analytical issues through quantitative approaches and machine learning methods and uses advanced statistical methods, data mining techniques, and information retrieval.
Continuously evaluate the necessary technical, business, and analytical skills needed for coworker and department success, and coordinate with leadership and HR for training opportunities to close any gaps.
Utilize SQL, other languages and technologies for the purpose of extracting and processing data for the business analytical needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Business, Healthcare Management, Information Systems, or related field - Required
Master's Degree Computer Science, Business, Healthcare Management, Information Systems, or related field - Preferred
3 years Relevant work experience as data, decision support, or analytics leader either on clinical or business domains - Required
7 years Analytics/Reporting tools such as SAS, Tableau, PowerBI, SAP BusinessObjects etc. (as required by role) - Required
5 years Hands-on experience with data analysis and analytics product design, development and maintenance - Required
