Data Engineer
Analytics Engineer responsible for building scalable data pipelines, modeling financial data, and delivering actionable insights using SQL, Python, dbt, and modern cloud data warehouses.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines to ingest and transform banking transaction data.
- Build and optimize data models in Snowflake using dbt to support analytics, reporting, and product experimentation.
- Create self‑service dashboards and visualizations in Looker for cross‑functional teams.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and data science partners to define data requirements and ensure data quality.
- Implement monitoring, testing, and documentation practices to guarantee pipeline reliability and compliance.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering, preferably in fintech or banking.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and automation.
- Hands‑on experience with dbt and modern cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
- Familiarity with BI tools, especially Looker, to build dashboards and explore data.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL best practices, and data governance principles.
