About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain dbt models and transformations to support analytical workloads on Google BigQuery.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and version control of data assets.
- Establish data observability frameworks, including monitoring, alerting, and lineage tracking to ensure pipeline reliability.
- Define and enforce data quality standards using testing, profiling, and validation techniques within dbt.
- Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building data pipelines with dbt and SQL on cloud data warehouses, preferably BigQuery.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) for automated data workflow deployment.
- Strong understanding of data observability concepts and hands‑on experience implementing monitoring and alerting for data pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to design and enforce data quality tests and metrics within dbt projects.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑moving environment.
