About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct structural analysis and design reviews for the P‑8 NZ fleet, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards.
- Develop and maintain engineering artefacts, including repair plans, design modifications, and sustainment procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess structural issues, recommend corrective actions, and support operational readiness.
- Utilize finite element analysis and CAD tools to model and evaluate structural components and repair solutions.
- Document findings, produce technical reports, and present recommendations to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering with experience in aircraft structural integrity.
- Proficiency in FEA software (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN) and CAD platforms.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, airworthiness directives, and maintenance practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
