Security Engineer
Lead the design, implementation, and assessment of cyber security measures for aircraft systems, ensuring compliance with aviation standards and protecting critical avionics from evolving threats.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain security architectures for aircraft avionics and embedded systems.
- Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability analyses in accordance with DO‑178C, DO‑254, and other aviation security standards.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems engineering teams to integrate security controls throughout the development lifecycle.
- Perform security testing, penetration testing, and code reviews to identify and remediate weaknesses.
- Document security requirements, design decisions, and compliance evidence for certification and audit purposes.
Requirements
- Strong background in cyber security principles and practices, especially within safety‑critical or aerospace environments.
- Experience with embedded systems, network protocols, and secure software development life cycles.
- Knowledge of aviation security regulations (e.g., AC‑20‑1, DO‑178C, DO‑254) and risk management frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in security tools (e.g., static analysis, penetration testing frameworks) is a plus.
