Lead advanced air quality analytics, developing predictive models and data visualizations to inform public health decisions using Python, R, GIS, and SQL.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and validate machine learning models to predict pollutant concentrations and assess health impacts.
- Integrate and analyze large spatial and temporal datasets using GIS and SQL databases.
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with environmental scientists to refine data collection protocols and ensure compliance with EPA standards.
- Document methodologies, produce technical reports, and present results to cross‑functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Data Science, or related field.
- Proven experience with Python and R for data analysis and modeling.
- Strong GIS skills (ArcGIS, QGIS) and SQL database management.
- Knowledge of air quality monitoring networks and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex analyses into actionable insights.
