Research Engineer
Develop and fine‑tune large language models for healthcare, building NLP pipelines for extraction, classification, summarization, and retrieval using Python and modern transformer frameworks.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and fine‑tune Large Language Models (LLMs) tailored to healthcare use cases.
- Build and optimize end‑to‑end NLP pipelines for text extraction, classification, summarization, and information retrieval.
- Implement AI‑powered solutions using Python, PyTorch, and transformer libraries such as Hugging Face.
- Work with both structured and unstructured healthcare datasets to improve model accuracy and robustness.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and domain experts to deliver scalable, production‑ready AI services.
- Evaluate model performance, conduct error analysis, and continuously optimize models for deployment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience in NLP and machine‑learning model development.
- Proficiency in Python and deep‑learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow).
- Strong knowledge of transformer architectures and experience with libraries such as Hugging Face Transformers.
- Experience handling healthcare data, including text mining from clinical notes, reports, and electronic health records.
- Ability to translate research concepts into production‑grade code and collaborate in cross‑functional teams.
