About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement end-to-end AI pipelines for surgical robotics, integrating sensor data, vision, and control algorithms.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, software engineers, and roboticists to deliver high‑reliability, real‑time systems.
- Collaborate with clinical partners to define use cases, validate performance, and iterate on product design.
- Ensure compliance with medical device regulations and maintain rigorous documentation and testing standards.
- Drive continuous improvement of models through experimentation, hyper‑parameter tuning, and deployment of new techniques.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with a strong background in deep learning and robotics.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and relevant ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Hands‑on experience with surgical robotics platforms and real‑time control systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of leading cross‑functional teams.
- Knowledge of medical device regulatory processes and safety standards.
