Develop and deploy AI-driven solutions for public safety, leveraging Python, Machine Learning, and AWS to transform data into actionable insights that protect communities.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain AI models that analyze real‑time sensor and video data to detect threats and support first responders.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate AI services into cloud platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Implement end‑to‑end data pipelines using Python and AWS services (S3, Lambda, SageMaker) to ingest, process, and store large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Apply NLP techniques to interpret incident reports, social media feeds, and other textual sources for situational awareness.
- Continuously evaluate model performance, conduct A/B testing, and iterate to improve accuracy and reduce false positives.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building production‑grade AI/ML solutions in Python.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services (SageMaker, Lambda, EC2, S3) and experience deploying models at scale.
- Hands‑on experience with data engineering tools (Spark, Pandas, SQL) and building data pipelines.
- Proficiency in NLP libraries (spaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face) and experience with text classification or entity extraction.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, strong communication, and a passion for using technology to enhance public safety.
