AI Software Engineer Intern building NLP‑driven insurance automation tools on AWS, leveraging Python and machine learning to streamline quote comparison, coverage analysis, and policy review workflows.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python‑based NLP pipelines for extracting insights from dense insurance documents.
- Collaborate with data scientists to implement machine learning models that power quote comparison and coverage gap analysis.
- Deploy and monitor services on AWS, ensuring high availability and compliance with SOC 2 Type II standards.
- Integrate data from multiple brokerages, clean and transform it for downstream analytics.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration workflows using Git.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with NLP libraries (spaCy, NLTK, or Hugging Face).
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and model deployment on cloud platforms.
- Experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, and SageMaker.
- Solid understanding of data engineering principles and SQL.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
