Role Overview
We are seeking an AI Engineer – Copilot to design and build enterprise conversational AI experiences using Microsoft 365 Copilot and Azure OpenAI. This role focuses on creating secure, scalable, and well‑governed conversational interfaces that integrate enterprise data through Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG).
The engineer will work closely with data scientists, architects, and business stakeholders to convert analytical and scenario outputs into intuitive conversational workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build conversational interfaces using Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- Implement and integrate Azure OpenAI Service with enterprise data using RAG patterns.
- Develop prompt orchestration, prompt chaining, and response policies to ensure accurate and grounded outputs.
- Implement safety filters, access controls, and telemetry to support enterprise‑grade usage and compliance.
- Design and develop Copilot plugins, custom actions, and connectors using Microsoft Graph and REST APIs.
- Build and maintain backend services using Azure Functions and related Azure services.
- Collaborate with data science teams to surface scenario insights and explainability through conversational experiences.
- Ensure performance, reliability, observability, and maintainability of Copilot solutions.
Roles Requirements
Must‑Have Skills
- 4–8 Years of experience in Software Engineering or AI Engineering.
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, including:
- Topic design
- Plugin/action configuration
- Integration with Microsoft Graph
- Strong experience with Azure OpenAI Service, including:
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Embeddings
- Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns
- Proficient in Python and/or TypeScript.
- Experience building:
- REST APIs
- Backend services
- Azure‑based integrations
- Hands‑on experience with Azure Functions or serverless architectures.
- Understanding of enterprise security, authentication, and authorization principles.
- Ability to work in distributed, global delivery teams.
