Software Engineer
Consultants faculty, staff, and students on practical AI adoption, designing workflows, building prototypes, and delivering training using Python, LLMs, and cloud services to boost productivity across the university.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with academic and administrative units to identify high‑impact use cases for generative AI and machine‑learning solutions.
- Design, prototype, and deploy AI‑enabled tools and workflows using Python, LLM APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
- Provide hands‑on training, workshops, and documentation to help non‑technical users adopt AI responsibly and effectively.
- Develop prompt‑engineering guidelines and best‑practice frameworks to ensure reliable, ethical AI outputs.
- Collaborate with research teams to translate cutting‑edge AI research into production‑ready services for the campus community.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Python programming and machine‑learning libraries (e.g., scikit‑learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Proven ability to work with large language models (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and craft effective prompts.
- Hands‑on experience deploying AI solutions on cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of teaching or mentoring technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Background in data analysis/visualization and a solid understanding of AI ethics and governance.
