Design and modernize enterprise data pipelines and AI‑enabled data systems, ensuring robust data architecture, governance, and decision‑making support for mission operations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest, transform, and serve data for AI and analytics workloads.
- Integrate AI/ML models into production data workflows, ensuring model reliability, monitoring, and retraining pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define data governance policies, data quality standards, and security controls.
- Optimize data storage and processing using cloud services (e.g., AWS S3, Redshift, Glue) and on‑prem solutions.
- Document data architecture, pipeline designs, and operational procedures for internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience building enterprise data pipelines with Python, SQL, and cloud data services.
- Hands‑on experience with AI/ML model deployment and monitoring in production environments.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a federal IT environment.
