What you'll do
As an AI Business Operations Analyst, you will join Clara Ops to drive innovation in company operations. This unique role focuses on identifying opportunities where machines can outperform human efforts and building the systems to implement these changes. You will work at the intersection of strategy, automation, and execution, collaborating across teams to reduce friction, accelerate decisions, and enhance Clara's operational capabilities. Reporting to the Global Head of Operations, you will partner closely with Product, Sales, Finance, and Engineering, owning the full loop from opportunity identification to solution design, deployment with AI/automation tooling, and outcome measurement.
- Map high-friction operational workflows across Clara and prioritize them for AI-augmentation and automation, developing a roadmap for compounded impact.
- Design, deploy, and iterate on AI-powered workflows using tools like Claude Code/Codex, n8n, and other LLM APIs to replace manual, repetitive, or error-prone processes.
- Collaborate with commercial and operational leaders to identify where agent-based or rule-based automation can improve speed, accuracy, or capacity without increasing headcount.
- Build and maintain operational dashboards in Metabase to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and proactively identify anomalies.
- Partner with Product and Product Marketing on process changes related to new feature launches, ensuring operational readiness for every release.
- Serve as the internal expert on AI tooling for operations, evaluating new tools, sharing best practices, and developing Clara's internal AI playbook.
- Identify data gaps and work with Engineering to create the necessary instrumentation or pipelines for improved operational decision-making.
- Document processes clearly to ensure maintainability, continuous improvement, and seamless handoff of your solutions.
- Be excited about leading a team of AIs, not becoming a people manager, and having an unlimited token budget.
Who you are
Must-haves:
- Experience working at a top consulting firm (Bain/BCG/McKinsey) or similar professional services/high-velocity startup.
- Proven AI automation track record, with demonstrated examples of automating and augmenting operations with AI.
- 3–7 years of experience in operations, strategy, or a related field, ideally in a LatAm fintech, payments, or high-growth B2B SaaS company.
- Hands-on experience building automated workflows with tools like n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar, demonstrating strong no-code and low-code fluency.
- Familiarity or proven ability to work with company systems of record such as CRMs (e.g., Hubspot, Attio, Salesforce), support triage (e.g., Zendesk), data warehouses (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake), and BI tools.
- Comfortable working directly with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) to build operational tools and agents, even without a software engineering background.
- Strong analytical skills, comfortable querying data in SQL or working with BI tools like Metabase to provide operational visibility.
- Structured thinker with a bias for action: able to break down complex problems, make decisions with incomplete data, and move quickly without compromising quality.
- Excellent communicator: capable of translating technical solutions into business terms for non-technical stakeholders and business needs into precise specifications for engineers.
- Fluent in English.
Nice-to-haves:
- Basic proficiency in Portuguese or a desire to learn it.
- Independent analytical skills using Metabase, SQL, or Python to drive data-informed decision-making.
- A good sense of humor.
