Lead the design and deployment of AI solutions across Lilly’s medicine discovery pipeline, leveraging Python, ML/DL frameworks, AWS, and Kubernetes to build scalable, production‑grade models that accelerate drug development.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect end‑to‑end AI/ML pipelines for drug discovery, from data ingestion to model deployment.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate scientific questions into scalable AI solutions.
- Design and maintain cloud‑native infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance.
- Implement containerized services with Kubernetes, enabling rapid iteration and reproducibility.
- Mentor data scientists and engineers, fostering best practices in model validation, versioning, and monitoring.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with a strong background in Python and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Proven expertise in building production‑grade ML models on AWS (SageMaker, ECS, EKS).
- Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines for ML workflows.
- Deep understanding of data engineering principles, including data pipelines, feature stores, and data governance.
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of leading technical teams in a regulated environment.
