Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced process control solutions for upstream and low‑carbon operations, leveraging PLC, SCADA, MATLAB, and Python to enhance plant performance and sustainability.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy advanced process control (APC) strategies for upstream and low‑carbon facilities.
- Integrate PLC and SCADA systems with APC algorithms to improve plant stability and throughput.
- Utilize MATLAB and Python for data analysis, model development, and simulation of control scenarios.
- Collaborate with process engineers to translate plant objectives into control system specifications.
- Conduct performance monitoring, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement of control loops.
- Document control logic, validation results, and provide training to plant personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in APC, PLC, or SCADA development within an industrial environment.
- Proficiency in MATLAB and Python for modeling and data analytics.
- Strong understanding of process control theory, PID tuning, and model‑based control.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
