Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross‑functional teams in the design, development, and rapid prototyping of advanced manufacturing solutions for national security missions.
- Apply systems engineering principles to define requirements, architecture, and integration pathways for complex hardware and software systems.
- Drive concept‑to‑prototype transitions, ensuring timely delivery of functional prototypes and iterative improvements.
- Collaborate with research scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to translate innovative ideas into mission‑ready products.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing, rapid prototyping, or systems engineering within a defense or research environment.
- Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary projects from concept through prototype and deployment.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, mission‑critical setting.
