Part‑time adjunct faculty will teach FlexFactor, a project‑based curriculum that introduces high‑school and middle‑school students to STEM and advanced manufacturing concepts, emphasizing problem identification, product design, and efficient production methods.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver daytime FlexFactor courses to high‑school and middle‑school students within the Sinclair ecosystem.
- Facilitate student‑led, project‑based activities that cover problem identification, product ideation, design, and manufacturing processes.
- Develop and continuously improve curriculum materials, labs, and assessments aligned with industry best practices.
- Integrate Lean manufacturing principles, CAD tools, and advanced manufacturing techniques into classroom instruction.
- Mentor students on career pathways in STEM and provide guidance on real‑world engineering challenges.
Requirements
- Professional experience in industrial, systems, or manufacturing engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to teach or train in a project‑based, hands‑on learning environment.
- Proficiency with CAD software and familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or related efficiency methodologies.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for inspiring K‑12 students in STEM fields.
- Adjunct teaching eligibility and ability to commit to scheduled daytime classes.
