Software Engineer
Lead project scheduling and execution for defense and aerospace programs, using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project to drive earned‑value analysis, risk mitigation, and stakeholder alignment while maintaining required security clearance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, ensuring alignment with program milestones and contractual requirements.
- Perform earned‑value management (EVM) analyses to track cost, schedule, and performance metrics, providing regular status reports to senior leadership.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate schedule risks, implementing corrective actions and updating risk registers as needed.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams, facilitating communication between engineering, procurement, and operations to resolve schedule conflicts.
- Prepare and present schedule performance dashboards, variance analyses, and forecasting reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field with 5+ years of project scheduling experience in defense, aerospace, or related industries.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project; strong understanding of Earned Value Management principles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage schedule risk, perform variance analysis, and drive corrective actions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder briefings and documentation.
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain) required.
