About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures for data center construction and maintenance activities during the 2nd shift.
- Conduct daily site inspections, hazard assessments, and job safety analyses to identify and mitigate risks.
- Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and corrective action tracking to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, local, state, and industry regulations, maintaining accurate safety documentation and reporting.
- Coordinate emergency response plans, drills, and training programs for all shift personnel.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to integrate safety considerations into project schedules and designs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of construction safety experience, preferably in data center or high‑tech environments.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), OSHA 30‑hour Construction certification, or equivalent.
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and develop corrective actions.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and data center infrastructure safety requirements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train and influence multi‑disciplinary teams.
