Provides 2nd‑line support for cloud‑based and on‑premise infrastructure, automating operations with Python/Bash, managing Linux/Windows servers, VMware virtualization, and AWS services while ensuring high availability and performance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 2nd‑line troubleshooting and incident resolution for Linux, Windows Server, and virtualized environments.
- Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure components supporting real‑time energy trading platforms.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python and Bash to streamline provisioning, configuration, and monitoring tasks.
- Implement and manage monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus) to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with development and product teams to integrate infrastructure changes into CI/CD pipelines.
- Document procedures, create knowledge‑base articles, and contribute to on‑call rotation for 24/7 support.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in IT operations, with strong hands‑on skills in Linux and Windows Server administration.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms, preferably AWS, including EC2, VPC, IAM, and related services.
- Solid scripting abilities in Python and Bash for automation and tooling.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere.
- Familiarity with monitoring/alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and incident management processes.
