Systems Engineer
Provide first‑line technical support for railway infrastructure systems, diagnosing and resolving Windows, Linux, and networking issues while ensuring minimal downtime for critical rail operations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve user incidents via ticketing system, providing remote and on‑site assistance for Windows and Linux workstations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot network connectivity, VPN, and peripheral device problems affecting rail operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, solutions, and knowledge base articles.
- Escalate complex issues to second‑line teams and coordinate with vendors for hardware/software support.
- Participate in on‑call rotations to ensure 24/7 coverage for safety‑critical systems.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of IT support experience in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to non‑technical users.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to multiple rail sites.
