Senior Engineer
I love software, hardware and everything using base 2; I have been coding since 2008 as a full stack developer with experience in Java and Javascript primarily; along the way I have encountered many other languages, frameworks and platforms. Coding is used loosely, as it involves so many things: meeting with clients, gathering ideas, discussing and converting into proper requirements, architecting solutions and building the actual product with the help of many other people. I have done the above on many projects and have a can-do attitude about the process as a whole, I love collaborating and working with my peers, but most importantly, sharing knowledge and improving the end value to the customer for any given project. I have been involved in the fintech sector for the last 7 years with experience in core banking and platform engineering, other interests include the security industry, w.r.t risk management, risk assessment, alarm monitoring and compliance.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate has a long tenure at Online Intelligence (8 years) and multiple roles at Adyen and Rabobank, indicating stability and growth within organizations. Project diversity includes personal projects (tennis match generator, hackathon, static website, freelance Java catalog, Chrome plugin) alongside professional enterprise work, showing a broad interest and initiative. The target role is 'Security Engineer', and while the candidate has strong experience in authentication/authorization and platform engineering, direct security-specific projects or roles are not explicitly detailed beyond these areas. This suggests a potential gap in dedicated security focus, which might require further assessment for a direct cultural fit into a pure security engineering role.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's resume highlights responsibilities such as mentoring, coaching, client engagements, and participation in chapter/guild meetups, suggesting strong collaboration and leadership skills. Experience in agile teams and 12-factor application principles indicates operational fit for modern development practices. The description of creating an internal framework and focusing on code quality points to a proactive and quality-driven approach.
