Track and Hold circuit
February 1, 2023 – March 1, 2023
This circuit tracks the input and hold it for a constant level for specified time. The circuit consists of input and output buffer amplifiers, capacitor and some kind of FET for switching purpose. We prepared ideal and non-ideal circuits for it. Ideal one consisted of Voltage controlled voltage sources as input and output buffers. We used 150pF capacitor for tracking and holding purpose. NMOS as a switch was used. In Non-ideal, Om-amps as buffers were used and added PMOS switch in parallel with NMOS to lower the resistance. Also added an inverter to drive the PMOS switch with the same control signal. Checked whether output is tracking input voltage correctly. Performance criteria included time to reach tracked value and comparison between input and output voltages. Cadence Virtuoso platform was used to develop this project.
Playing LEDs
September 1, 2022 – December 1, 2022
Using 3 LEDs and STM32 Nucleo 6071 board and software I prepared LED switching project. The 3 LEDs used here are Red, Green, and Blue. Each of them glows after 500ms in RGB order. Switches, transistors, resistors, etc were other components placed on breadboard. EWARM and STM32CubeMX were the software used.
Camera Assistance for Blind Cricketers
September 1, 2020 – Present
Project is based on Open CV and Image processing. Using these 2 tools we have created a software project that will help the Blind Cricketers while playing the sport. In doing such project we have taken care that by any means the spirit of the game is not hampered. We have done it particularly for Batsman and Fielder as they face more problems than a Bowler. We have given Ball Distance and Direction assistance. For this we have used Ball detection using HSV and Background Subtraction techniques. Ball tracking done by calculating and then tracking the centroid of the ball. Distance calculation is done by calculating the fluctuation in area of pixels while moving the ball to and fro from camera. Direction assistance is based on 4 Quadrant system. At the last we have used GTTS (Text to Speech) for converting every information into sound as Cricketers are blind. We are still working on the Hardware part to implement this idea into real by making a prototype.
Smart Cart
January 1, 2019 – May 1, 2019
It was mainly an electronic based project. Project was made for reducing the complexity and time consumed on the billing counters of the malls or supermarkets. We had attached the Rudra 2.0 board on outer side of the cart. The system was based on RFID card technique. RFID module was also placed along with the board for detection of the RFID tags. Each tag contains the basic info of that product for eg- its cost and weight and name of that product. Board had the LCD display attached to it which would display the cost, quantity, weight, and total amount of the products that has been scanned and put into the cart. So that all the addition, subtraction and scanning of the product is completed before going to counter that will reduce the crowd and long waiting lines on the billing counters.
Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's project diversity, ranging from academic projects like 'Track and Hold circuit' to practical applications like 'Smart Cart' and 'Camera Assistance for Blind Cricketers', demonstrates initiative and a passion for engineering. Their professional experience across various companies (Apple, Profile DM Inc, SwingBeats, Relyion Energy Inc) in hardware, embedded, and power electronics roles indicates adaptability and a willingness to engage with different technical challenges. While the target role is 'FPGA Developer', and direct FPGA experience is not explicitly detailed in the resume, the strong foundation in digital hardware design, embedded systems, and PCB development suggests a good foundational fit for a role that often involves hardware-software co-design and low-level optimization. The candidate's continuous learning through a Master's degree also aligns with a culture of growth and development.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's project descriptions and work experience indicate a hands-on, problem-solving approach. Collaboration with mechanical, firmware, and operations teams suggests good teamwork and cross-functional communication skills. The diverse project portfolio, from image processing to embedded hardware, shows adaptability and a broad interest in engineering challenges. The experience in industrial automation and maintenance also points to a practical, operational mindset.
