GTM Engineer @ Derive - Control Layer for B2B Spend
I help build the go-to-market engine at Derive, the control layer for B2B spend. As part of the GTM team, I work closely with sales, marketing, and product to design scalable processes, enable our teams, and create structure in how we engage with prospects and customers. My focus is on blending strategy and execution — turning data, systems, and messaging into repeatable growth. At Derive, we help finance teams manage procurement and accounts payable in one unified system. Our platform automates everything from vendor intake and approvals to purchase orders, renewals, and invoice processing. This gives companies full visibility and control over spend, helps them enforce policies with structured workflows, and removes manual work through seamless ERP integrations. If you’re interested in how finance teams can move from reactive approvals to proactive spend control, I’d love to connect.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's career trajectory shows a strong focus on sales and business development, with a recent pivot towards technical education. This indicates adaptability and a drive for continuous learning. The target role of 'GTM Engineer' requires a blend of technical acumen and market-facing skills, which the candidate is actively pursuing through education and prior experience. However, the lack of direct engineering experience or projects makes the 'Engineer' aspect of the role a potential gap.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's experience in various sales and business development roles suggests strong communication, negotiation, and client management skills. The progression to Team Lead indicates leadership potential. However, there is insufficient data to assess stress handling, logical reasoning, or team collaboration beyond the psychometric test's stated focus.
