Tom is a seasoned consulting professional with over 30 years of experience in corporate and divisional roles across multiple industries. He has worked for Big Five Consulting firms, where he sold and delivered complex solutions to C-level customers, managed alliances and strategic partnerships, and led services lines and marketing. Tom has also designed and built decision support processes and related IT solutions. Currently, Tom is a leader in the Consulting Services Business at Microsoft. He leads the Azure Strategy & Solutions Team within Industry Solutions Delivery, partnering with the field in harvesting and delivering Sales and Delivery IP, planning and developing go-to-market strategies, and creating opportunity and engagement guidance. This guidance enables and empowers Sales and Delivery professionals to provide customers with business-critical solutions. Before joining Microsoft Consulting Services, Tom led strategic programs in Microsoft’s Corporate Finance organization. He also worked for Arthur Andersen and KPMG Consulting/BearingPoint as a Senior Manager. Tom previously led the Cost Management research program for Consortium for Advanced Manufacturing – International (CAM-I). Before focusing on research and consulting, Tom spent ten years in the telecommunications industry in a number of Finance and accounting roles. Tom graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Finance. He received his MBA from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. In his spare time, Tom enjoys golf, and restoring and cruising his 1939 classic motorboat.
