Position Control of BLDC Motor Using FOC
December 1, 2024 – January 1, 2025
Developed a 360° position control system for a BLDC motor using Field-Oriented Control (FOC) with an additional PID feedback loop for precise target positioning. Achieved servo-like performance by incorporating gear ratio logic to optimize the speed-torque relationship. Simulated the system using a Maxon 36V, 4500 RPM BLDC motor and fine-tuned PID gains for enhanced accuracy and responsiveness. Software Used: MATLAB/Simulink.
Field Oriented Control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor with Flux Weakening Control
October 1, 2024 – December 1, 2024
1. Implemented FOC for a 48V, 1.5kW IPMSM (1500 RPM), ensuring precise speed and torque control. 2. Designed Field Weakening Control with Id & Iq limiters to keep stator current within 120A, achieving 1.2 times rated speed. 3. Tuned PI controllers, achieving settling time ≈ 1.3 seconds and 34% avg ripple overshoot in speed response. 4. Developed Hall Sensor Logic to decode rotor speed and angle for proper feedback mechanism. 5. Analyzed Key Performance Metrics – Plotted speed, torque, stator current, and power for system evaluation. Software Used: MATLAB/Simulink.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's background is heavily focused on Electrical Engineering, motor control, and embedded systems, which is a significant deviation from a typical Data Analyst role. While there's an interest in Machine Learning and Image Processing (certifications), the core experience and projects do not directly align with data analysis, statistical modeling, or business intelligence. This indicates a potential mismatch with the target role's typical responsibilities and required skill set.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's project descriptions suggest a methodical approach to problem-solving and an ability to analyze system performance. However, without psychometric test results or interview data, it is difficult to assess soft skills like teamwork, communication, or stress handling.
