PharmaCutieCal - Personalized drug side effects predictor
February 1, 2024 – February 1, 2024
Developed and optimized a machine learning model using Python, predicting drug side effects with an accuracy of 82%, utilizing techniques like feature engineering, hyperparameter tuning, and one hot encoding Integrated ML model seamlessly with a web application built using JavaScript, React, Flask, and MongoDB to provide personalized predictions by analyzing patient’s medical history, enhancing user understanding of medication side effects Problem Statement: Different people taking the same drug can have markedly different responses/side effects to the same dose. Medication history is very important as patients take more and more medications and drug-drug interactions must be avoided. No centralized platform currently to check effect of drugs on patients with similar medical history. Solution and Design: PharmaCutieCal maps real-world data of 250k drugs and patient data to recommend drug impact based on patient’s medical history. It provides substitute drugs and recommendations based on user data. Integrates Random Forest Classification model for real-time predictions.

Adventure game using MVC design pattern
October 1, 2021 – December 1, 2021
Designed and Implemented an adventure game in Java and Java Swings using the MVC design pattern. The game involves a player navigating through a maze consisting of caves and tunnels which is generated randomly, the parameters of the creation can be provided by the player. The goal of the game is for the player to reach the end cave without getting killed by the monster. The player can also collect treasure present in random caves and can also pickup arrows to kill the monsters.
Grammar Checking and Correction using NLP and Image Processing
December 1, 2019 – April 1, 2020
Designed, implemented a reliable application for scanning of document of text kept on a flat surface, perform processing on text to identify syntax errors, semantical mistakes with more than 85% accuracy. Configured app to suggest correct word or syntax by going through trained data with an accuracy of about 90%, produce corrected document as output. Recommended app to professors to check answer sheets with 45-50% faster speed than manual grading. Published a research paper titled "Application for Grammar Checking and Correction" in the International Research Journal of Engineering and Technology (IRJET) in June 2020.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's project diversity, ranging from machine learning applications to web development and adventure games, indicates a broad interest in computer science domains. The experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and involvement in student associations suggests a proactive and collaborative mindset. However, the target role is 'Frontend Developer', and while there is relevant frontend experience (React, JavaScript, TypeScript), some projects lean heavily into backend, ML, or desktop application development, which might indicate a broader interest rather than a focused passion for frontend. The recent experience at PrecisionIT is not detailed, making it difficult to assess current role alignment.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate demonstrates strong teamwork and leadership skills through various academic and extracurricular roles (Graduate Teaching Assistant, General Secretary, Event Coordinator). Their experience in a teaching assistant role suggests good communication and mentoring abilities. The project descriptions indicate an ability to collaborate in a team setting and manage project timelines. However, without psychometric test results, a comprehensive assessment of work attitude, stress handling, and team collaboration is limited.
