Optimize the ad slot allocation on TV Network

A network can sell 48 slots on any given day on each of its channels. Ad slots are again bound by rules like viewership, competitor ad campaign, price vs volume buy. This makes a very difficult situation for the sales team to pitch the slots to the client without knowing the % chance of they buying the slot. Our solution tried to provide them with an acceptable price range and clients which they should follow up to get optimum revenue.

Predicting voltage fluctuation in large grid connected PV plant

We had used six months of minute wise data captured at plant side to create prediction model as well as find important factors out of large data set of approx 1 gb/month of data. We had used various time-series and machine learning technique to train and test models(multinomial regression, random forest, SVM).

Big Data Project using Hadoop and NoSQL

We created a map-reduce job on AWS to analyze the output of a server log. After that we compared the output with result of Pig to find if the result match or not and which technique works better. The same was done on the stand alone machine as well as distributed architecture on multi datanode setup done on AWS.
