OCR – Optical Character Recognition: OCR is a technology that allows conversions of typed, handwritten, printed text into machine-encoded text. One of the major benefits of OCR is that it provides Digitization up to 60% of faxed documents with minimal human intervention of data entry. It also provides Access Solutions and ability to scale as needed to support anticipated future volumes of faxed documents. In PACT, OCR is used on a wider range to perform various Salesforce operations such as Enrolling a Patient using Guided Enrolment by the process of IFM and Document creation and submission, Re-enrolling a patient, MPS, Quick Enroll, etc. Captricity (Vedado) tool is then used to edit the submitted Document and accept all the field values which will change the Document status from Submitted to Completed. Once the document is in 'Completed' state, user can perform operations such as Enroll or Re-Enroll patient, Update patient consent etc. depending on the functionality been asked to test. Roles and Responsibilities: Holding roles and responsibilities as a Salesforce Functional Tester for Genentech client using Salesforce Platform. Involved in Requirements gathering, discussion with customer to outline each story requirements in detail. Involved in Test planning, preparing the test document with guidelines for the testing process such as approach, testing tasks, environment needs, resource requirements, schedule, and constraints. Test cases preparation with step-by-step navigation to the functionality starting from testing the Salesforce Login page to the entire functionality execution. Identifying the test inputs and requesting data that is required to execute the test cases as well as to check the functionality of the application. Determining the actual outcomes as per the input value to be tested, Execution of Test cases in HP ALM Tool and attaching Test Logs Document to the respective Test cases and marking Test cases status as passed. Successfully logged defects JIRA Tool wherever the functionality was not as expected and got it working with the developers. Involved in Team calls, Customer calls. Involved in various customer calls for requirements gathering before starting the Test Cases planning, Test Cases writing and execution. Involved in Test planning, preparing the test document with guidelines for the testing process such as approach, testing tasks, environment needs, resource requirements, schedule, and constraints. Identifying the test inputs and requesting data that is required to execute the test cases as well as to check the functionality of the application. Used Scrum Agile Methodology in my work (Daily Stan-Up Meetings, Sprint Backlog, 1on1 meeting) Logged defects into TFS application wherever functionality was not working as expected.
