Most backend developers write code that works locally. I write code that runs in production, and then I manage the server it runs on. In the past years I've built and maintained backend systems for international clients across APIs, SaaS platforms, and industrial integrations. That includes a multi-tenant AI chatbot (Communiqo) serving live users, a WebRTC peer-to-peer file transfer platform with no server-side storage, and a Windows desktop application for real-time industrial machine monitoring via serial communication, all deployed and maintained by me, end to end. My approach: I don't hand off to a "DevOps person." I provision the server, configure Nginx, set up the CI/CD pipeline, handle SSL, and monitor production. When something breaks at 2am, I'm the one fixing it. That ownership is what I bring beyond writing clean Laravel or Python.
