Software Engineer | Distributed System | Java . Spring Boot . Kafka | AWS, Docker | Ex-Intern @C-DAC|
I build backend systems in Java and Spring Boot that handle concurrency and scale under load. During my internship at C-DAC: I built a low-latency event streaming pipeline for a Linux-based proctoring system that collected system telemetry, health metrics, and exam policy violations from client machines and delivered them to the admin dashboard in near real time. I also identified communication bottlenecks in the existing architecture and implemented a Protocol Buffers–based transport to reduce end-to-end latency. Outside of my internship, I built HandyManny, a real-time labor hiring platform involving geospatial worker matching, concurrent job allocation, and state-driven job workflows. I also designed and stress-tested an API rate limiter that sustained 10K+ requests per minute. Interested in backend engineering, distributed systems, and building software that operates reliably under real-world load.

Rakshit- Proctoring application
September 1, 2025 – January 1, 2026
Rakshit - Linux-based proctoring application designed to create a secure examination environment through OS-level enforcement, hardware integrity checks, and real-time violation monitoring. Implemented native Linux integrations using JNI and C++ to restrict system shortcuts, detect virtualization, and ensure exam integrity beyond browser-level controls.
HandyManny — Real-Time Labor Hiring Platform
December 1, 2024 – August 1, 2025
Built a live full-stack platform handling real-time job assignment under concurrent worker load. Engineered job lifecycle as a finite state machine with atomic CAS operations on PostgreSQL (zero state inconsistency). Built location-aware worker matching engine with dynamic radius expansion — cut assignment latency by 40% vs. naive polling. Implemented idempotent job-claim APIs validated with JUnit 5 integration tests.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's personal projects demonstrate initiative and a strong drive for building complex systems from scratch. The 'Rakshit' project, involving OS-level integrations, shows a deep dive into challenging technical areas. The 'HandyManny' project highlights practical application of backend design patterns for real-time scenarios. The certifications indicate a commitment to continuous learning and skill development. However, the experience section lists an internship starting in the future (2025-08-01), which makes it difficult to assess actual professional experience and collaboration within a team setting. The overall profile suggests a strong individual contributor with a passion for technical depth, which could be a good cultural fit for innovation-driven teams, but more information on collaborative work is needed.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's project descriptions suggest a proactive and problem-solving approach, tackling complex technical challenges independently. The focus on system integrity, performance optimization, and robust API design indicates an operational fit for roles requiring high reliability and efficiency. However, without psychometric test results, a comprehensive assessment of soft skills like teamwork, stress handling, and communication clarity in a collaborative environment is not possible.
