Occupancy Detection and counting using Vibration Sensor and Machine Learning for HVAC monitoring
August 1, 2014 – Present
Occupant Detection and Tracking using Machine learning methods like Neural Networks, Support Vector Machines, and Gaussian Mixture Modelling for predictive analysis to find the number of people walking in a hallway and sitting in a classroom. - Human recognition method which is capable of acquiring a person's walking patterns by using a vibration sensor and identifying a person according to the acquired walking patterns. Traffic Detection, Tracking, Classification and Counting on Memorial Bridge, Portsmouth, NH
August 1, 2014 – Present
- Developed a software package for traffic detection and counting for NHDOT. - Used Gaussian Mixture Modelling for foreground separation, Image Processing Methods for shadow elimination - Used Kalman Filter with Gaussian Noise Modelling for developing predictive equations for tracking of objects - Used SVM Classifiers and Estimation Maximization Algorithm for classification of objects into Trucks, Cars, Bicycles and Pedestrians. Currently working on developing algorithms to estimate the structural displacement due to heavy moving loads on the bridge using the traffic cameras with focus in motion amplification studies. Seismic Risk Estimation and Loss Calculation for cities in the Himalayas
November 1, 2012 – July 1, 2014
• Developed an automated system in GIS, using Python script, that aids the seamless integration of the surveyed data, digitized in GIS, with an existing risk calculation methodology, named SeisVARA (http://eqrisk.info/seis.php), calculates the risk in terms of Economic Loss, Life Loss, Injuries and number of Homeless people, and represents the results in GIS in a digitized, graphical format. • Led a team of 6 engineers and developed a seismic risk model by processing highly unstructured and complex survey dataset • Reduced processing time for loss calculations by 900% and saved over 20% of project budget allocated for seismic risk estimation • Carried out detailed Socioeconomic Clustering of the cities of Mussoorie and Nainital based on areas of similar contruction types, building material, similar economic level of the occupants.
Deferral Management System
September 1, 2011 – March 1, 2012
Development of Deferral Management System which is basically a post loan sanction document tracker system. Each document is linked to a line of business, industry, functionality and product which helps the bank to track a pending document on the part of the customer.
Pricing Tool Calculator
March 1, 2011 – September 1, 2011
• Development of pricing calculator tool for Corporate Finance Sector of Tata Capital Limited. • It’s basically a pre-loan process in which the customer interacts with the bank for a loan and the bank’s representative takes a note of all the details of the customer including the fee-income, NIM(Net Interest Margin), Discount(client’s demand). Based on which the request for loan is forwarded to the supervisors via mail alerts as well as system updation.
Independent Financial Management System
July 1, 2010 – February 1, 2011
• Development of an Independent Financial Management System: • An automated system which allows the users to login as per their roles in the organization and update the system with their day to day financial transactions. The user can login and check whether the status has moved forward or not. Accordingly email alerts would be sent to the concerned supervisor.
Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's career trajectory shows a strong foundation in data analysis and engineering, followed by a significant shift into Product Management roles, particularly in AI/CV/AR. While the early career and personal projects align well with a Data Analyst role, the recent 7+ years in Product Management might indicate a different career aspiration or a potential mismatch with a purely analytical, individual contributor Data Analyst role. The diversity of projects (seismic risk, traffic, occupancy detection, financial systems) demonstrates adaptability and a broad interest in applying data science across various domains. However, the lack of recent hands-on data analysis roles might require re-evaluation of current technical proficiency for a dedicated Data Analyst position.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's project descriptions highlight leadership (led a team of 6 engineers), problem-solving (reduced processing time by 900%), and a results-oriented approach. The transition to Product Management roles suggests strong communication and strategic thinking, which are valuable for operational fit in a data-driven environment. However, the provided data does not include specific psychometric or English test results to directly assess soft skills like stress handling or team collaboration.
