UPI Transaction Fraud Detection System
April 1, 2026 – May 1, 2026
Developed an end-to-end fraud detection system by analyzing 10,000+ UPI transactions using Python, Pandas, and Scikit-learn to identify suspicious financial activities. Implemented and compared multiple Machine Learning models including Random Forest, Logistic Regression, and Isolation Forest, achieving up to 99% ROC-AUC in fraud detection. Discovered major fraud patterns such as unusual late-night transactions and high-value P2P transfers above ₹15,000, improving risk identification accuracy. Designed and deployed an interactive Streamlit dashboard for real-time transaction monitoring and fraud risk scoring.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's academic projects demonstrate initiative and a strong interest in data-driven problem-solving, which aligns well with an analytical and innovative culture. The diversity of projects (fraud detection, EV market analysis) and the breadth of tools used (Python, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, ML models) suggest adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies. The certifications further reinforce a proactive learning mindset. However, without professional experience, the candidate's ability to navigate corporate culture, collaborate in diverse teams, and handle real-world project pressures is yet to be observed.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's project descriptions highlight problem-solving abilities (fraud detection, market trend analysis) and a structured approach to data analysis. The use of interactive dashboards (Streamlit, Tableau) suggests good communication and presentation skills for conveying insights. The academic nature of projects and lack of professional experience mean operational fit regarding real-world business constraints, stakeholder management, and team collaboration in a corporate setting is yet to be fully demonstrated.
