NASHVILLE HOUSING DATA FOR DATA CLEANING
May 1, 2023 – July 1, 2023
Executed a data cleaning project using SQL, demonstrating data manipulation and transformation proficiency. Leveraged SQL queries to handle missing values, remove duplicates, and standardize data formats, resulting in a clean and consistent dataset ready for analysis. Developed and implemented complex SQL scripts to identify and resolve data inconsistencies and anomalies. Employed advanced techniques, such as data validation, conditional statements, and subqueries, to ensure data quality and accuracy. Utilized SQL to conduct exploratory data analysis, identifying and addressing data outliers, discrepancies, and patterns. Employed SQL aggregations and conditional statements to analyze data distributions, detect anomalies, and ensure data integrity. Documented the data-cleaning process, including SQL scripts, assumptions made, and applied transformations, providing a clear and comprehensive record of the data-cleaning steps. This documentation served as a valuable resource for future reference and ensured the reproducibility of the data-cleaning process.
covid-19 data exploration and visualization
April 1, 2023 – June 1, 2023
Utilized SQL to extract data from 2 different related tables from covid-19 databases using JOIN and VIEW. Developed a COVID Tableau dashboard to visualize pandemic trends using real-time data sources, demonstrating strong data visualization and analysis skills. Created visually compelling visualizations, including line charts, vertical bars, and geographical maps, to effectively communicate complex COVID-19 data and provide actionable insights for stakeholders and decision-makers. Implemented interactive filters and drill-down functionality, enabling users to explore specific time periods, geographic regions, and demographic breakdowns to comprehensively understand the pandemic's impact.
Alzheimer’s disease detection using cnn
October 1, 2022 – January 1, 2023
Developed an Alzheimer's disease detection model using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), leveraging deep learning techniques to analyze brain imaging data and accurately classify Alzheimer's disease cases with high precision and recall rates. Preprocessed and augmented large-scale brain MRI datasets, employing advanced techniques such as image normalization, cropping, and data augmentation to enhance model performance and handle variations in brain images. Conducted rigorous model evaluation and validation, utilizing appropriate performance metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score, demonstrating the robustness and reliability of the CNN-based Alzheimer's disease detection system. Applied CNN to produce a final model with an accuracy of 92.92%.
Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's projects are diverse, covering data cleaning, visualization, and deep learning, which aligns with the breadth often expected in data science roles. The focus on personal projects suggests self-motivation and initiative. However, the lack of professional experience or team-based projects makes it challenging to fully assess cultural fit in a collaborative work environment.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's project descriptions indicate an ability to document processes and conduct rigorous model evaluation, suggesting an organized approach to work. However, without specific psychometric test results or work experience, it is difficult to assess stress handling, team collaboration, or broader operational fit.
