Co-founder & CTO at Fireflies.ai
tl;dr: Ambitious entrepreneur looking to create change in everyday life. Co-founder of Fireflies.ai and casual drone enthusiast full: I am a Co-founder and CTO at an early stage startup and a graduate from MIT where I studied computer science and aerospace engineering. My expertise is in deploying deep learning in large scale projects, including training autonomous drones as president of the MIT UAV Team and optimizing satellite maintenance systems at Boeing and Lockheed Martin. I've guest lectured several times at Stanford for introductory artificial intelligence classes. I now lead engineering at Fireflies.ai, a startup that automatically records, transcribes and summarizes meetings and conference calls. Fireflies is a platform that turns voice into action. I have strong experience in full-stack & mobile development as well as scaling databases, infrastructure and practical deep learning. I built many versions of our app as we have continued to grow. We're using AI to pull out the most important information from the conversations that you have on a day-to-day basis. We apply machine learning to save time for productive people and organizations. I enjoy working in small teams, especially because I have the chance to really make a difference. To a team, I contribute a good sense of work ethic and leadership by example. My education in engineering and computer science, coupled with a stubborn ambition make me who I am.

Fireflies.ai generates tasks from promises in your conversations. It works completely in the background and applies NLP and ML on your messages to automatically create relevant action items that can be routed to the right workflows (Calendar, Project Management Tools, + more). Before this, Fireflies was a peer-to-peer delivery service. I developed a mobile application for Android and another one through PhoneGap. Client-side dev with cloud-based backend. Integrated more than 10 APIs including Coinbase, Venmo, Parse and Firebase. Won multiple awards in the MIT Bitcoin Competition. Launched app at MIT

Autonomous quadrotor that can be connected to with an app on your phone and leads the user around campus via pre-determined waypoints.
Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's background includes diverse experiences from startups (Fireflies.ai), non-profits (Releaf), and large corporations (Boeing, Lockheed Martin). Their involvement in the MIT UAV Club and personal projects like Skycall indicates a proactive, innovative, and hands-on approach. While the target role is 'Data Analyst', their experience leans heavily towards full-stack engineering, ML/NLP, and systems engineering. This breadth of experience suggests a strong cultural fit for dynamic, technically challenging environments, but a potential misalignment with a purely analytical role without further validation of their data analysis specific skills.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate demonstrates strong leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, and problem-solving skills through their CTO role and founding a non-profit. Their experience in various project-based environments suggests adaptability and a collaborative mindset. The description of Fireflies.ai indicates an ability to work on complex, long-term projects and apply advanced technical concepts to real-world problems.
