A Comparative Analysis of Sparse Matrix Compression Formats for SpMV AND SpGEMM
July 1, 2023 – April 1, 2024
- This thesis explores sparse matrix compression formats to optimize operations like sparse matrix-vector and matrix-matrix multiplication, crucial for high-performance computing. - Ten compression formats, including COO, CSR, CSC, and custom formats, are analyzed for storage efficiency, computational performance, and algorithmic complexity. - Through systematic comparisons using real-world datasets, the study identifies optimal compression strategies tailored to specific application scenarios. - The research sheds light on the relationship between data structure and algorithmic performance, offering insights to enhance efficiency in scientific simulations and machine learning algorithms.
Mathematical Modelling on Covid-19 Spread Pattern
December 1, 2022 – March 1, 2023
Epidemiology uses Mathematical Models to detect the spread pattern of Covid-19. In this project, various Mathematical Models were used to detect the spread pattern using real-valued dataset implemented by Python and using tools/libraries such as Numpy, Matplotlib, Seaborn etc.
Nirapad Udaan - A Drone for Monitoring Road Safety and Traffic Management
November 1, 2022 – December 1, 2023
- The project focuses on the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle/Drone for object detection cum traffic monitoring and road analytical purposes (road safety monitoring). - The major problem faced herewith is to detect where the objects are bound to be located in case of a person driving on the road in case of late hours which might be a cause of accidents which could’ve been repelled. Having attached a camera on the drone, it will help to capture the images of the patches/potholes present on the roads. Based on the camera feed, the objects/blockages present on the road would be detected using Deep Learning methodologies and Machine Learning based classification algorithms such as Support Vector Machine (SVM) etc.
Academic Information System
July 1, 2022 – September 1, 2022
Academic Information System is a static Android Application developed as a project for Android Programming Course as a part of the course curriculum. It basically stores the day-to-day activities structure that needs to be performed in an educational institution starting from Information Feeding, Grade Viewing, Notices etc.
BingeFlix
March 1, 2022 – April 1, 2022
BingeFlix is a web-based video streaming platform which is very much relevant and identical to the concept of Netflix. Constructed using HTML5, SCSS and PHP supporting the backbone with MySQL, BingeFlix stands to deliver to the masses as a replacement for Netflix. Integration of PayPal SDK is incorporated for enabling user transactional status and membership details.
Student Management System using Python
May 1, 2021 – June 1, 2021
This Project based on Python is a Student Management System which uses the Tkinter Python Module for a GUI. It creates a record while taking the following inputs from the User: - Name - Roll Number - Class from a list of dropdown. - Phone Number - Gender - List of Subjects from the Dropdown The user can also search for an entry from the database by either using Name, Phone Number or Roll Number.
