Machine Learning @ Meta
Currently, I am a Research Scientist in Machine Learning at Meta's GenAI Safety Team. Prior to this, I also led ML efforts in Meta's Civic Integrity / Critical Event Management teams, as well as IG Reels Ranking. Previously, I was an Applied Researcher in Machine Learning at LinkedIn working on Talent and Careers algorithms/models, and Jobs Marketplace. Before that, I was an applied scientist and engineer at Turn Inc., in Redwood City, CA. I have also been a Ph.D. student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the Computer Science Department for five years under the direction of Professor Boleslaw K. Szymanski, working on projects within the International Technology Alliance (ITA) and the Social Cognitive Networks Academic Research Center (SCNARC). My research interests pertain to following areas: (i) Talent and Careers Relevance algorithms/models, (ii) online advertising algorithms and their evaluation, (iii) my Ph.D. Thesis’ subject: Utilization of grammatical structures in modeling network-based data, (iv) service Oriented architecture for sensor networks, which I worked on beginning with my two terms of internship at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, and (iv) market mechanisms for pervasive and mobile computing.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's background is heavily skewed towards Machine Learning and AI Research, with significant experience at large, innovative tech companies. While the 'Data Analyst' target role is related, the candidate's profile suggests a more advanced, research-oriented, or data science role. The breadth of experience across different ML/AI domains (civic integrity, talent search, online advertising) indicates adaptability and a diverse skill set. However, the direct alignment with a pure 'Data Analyst' role, which often focuses more on reporting, dashboarding, and business intelligence rather than model development, might be a mismatch in terms of day-to-day responsibilities and expectations. The candidate's profile suggests a strong fit for a Data Scientist or Applied Scientist role.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's extensive experience in research and applied roles at major tech companies suggests strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and potentially collaboration skills. The detailed descriptions of past projects imply an ability to articulate complex technical work. However, without specific psychometric or English test results, a direct assessment of soft skills and operational fit is limited.
