App Development
December 1, 2014 – Present
Designed an Android app prototype (details and video as attached) as part of a team for a college assignment. I was principally responsible for the back-end which involved developing using PHP and SQL. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMbe8NAwtLE PlayerX is a sports management mobile application. Users can create their own profile through their Facebook account, along with details such as age, sports interests and skill level. Users can then create public or private events on the app, and invite their friends. Geolocation is used to notify users of public events that are happening nearby that match their interests. After events have taken place, the host can leave feedback for all attendees. Tired of cycling alone? Find some new buddies and start a club. Looking for a challenge? Calculator Digital Design and Verification
December 1, 2013 – Present
My responsibilities in this project included the design of the core logic block, as well as most of the verification of the design, which was done in Verilog.
Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's project diversity includes app development and digital design, showing a breadth of technical interests. However, the primary career trajectory has been in deep learning, firmware, and embedded systems, which is not a direct alignment with a typical Data Analyst role. While there is a past 'Data Analyst' role, it was an internship in 2011, making its relevance to current data analysis practices limited. The overall fit for a dedicated Data Analyst role appears to be a stretch without further evidence of data-specific skills.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's resume indicates a strong technical background with roles requiring problem-solving and detailed engineering work. However, there is insufficient data to assess specific soft skills like teamwork, leadership, or communication style beyond the clarity of their project descriptions. The operational fit for a Data Analyst role is questionable given the predominant software/firmware engineering experience.
