Dr. Robert Coop, also known as Coop, has over 15 years of experience in the data science space, with a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering and a concentration in Machine Learning from the University of Tennessee. Previously, Coop served as the Chief AI Officer at Advent Health Partners, where he was responsible for all artificial intelligence and machine learning activities within the organization, leading R&D using generative AI, ChatGPT, and other cutting-edge AI for product and operations. He has led the machine learning practice at phData, and founded and led the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning team at Stanley Black & Decker, which focuses on applying cutting-edge algorithms to solve enterprise problems at scale. Coop received his doctorate from the University of Tennessee, where he studied deep learning, neural network training algorithms, and ensemble techniques.
