CIO | CTO | AI & Industry 4.0 Leader | ERP, MES & Smart Factory | Digital Transformation Across Manufacturing, Retail & D2C
Twenty-four years ago, I started my career fixing technology problems. Today, I spend most of my time solving business problems through technology. Whether it was increasing customer engagement in flagship cafes, improving production visibility on garment factory floors, enabling omnichannel retail growth, or introducing AI into business decision-making, the objective has always been the same: Use technology to create measurable business outcomes. Throughout my career, I have worked across FMCG, Retail, Fashion Manufacturing, D2C Commerce, Beauty & Wellness, and Consumer Businesses, leading transformation programs where technology was expected to drive growth, improve efficiency, strengthen customer experience, and increase profitability. A few examples: • Introduced India's first interactive touch-table experience in flagship Cafe Coffee Day outlets, enhancing customer engagement and commercial performance. • Led manufacturing digitization initiatives including MES and scanner-based production tracking across cutting, stitching, washing, and warehouse operations. • Built and scaled technology platforms supporting omnichannel retail, eCommerce, CRM, supply chain, merchandising, and store operations. • Driven enterprise-wide adoption of AI, automation, analytics, and data-driven decision-making across business functions. • Managed large-scale ERP, Salesforce, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital transformation programs supporting distributed operations across hundreds of locations. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with organizations including Bisleri, Cafe Coffee Day, Blackberrys, Marks & Spencer India, VLCC, Celebrity Fashions, and Indian Terrain. The common thread across every role has been translating technology investments into business value. I am particularly passionate about the next wave of tran

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's career trajectory shows a consistent focus on driving technological change and business transformation within diverse organizations, primarily in the retail and manufacturing sectors. Their experience with various enterprise systems (SAP, MS Dynamics AX, Salesforce, Shopify) and emerging technologies (AI, automation) indicates adaptability and a proactive approach to technology adoption. The breadth of experience across different companies and roles suggests a candidate who can integrate into various organizational cultures focused on innovation and efficiency. However, the target role 'Software Engineer' is a significant mismatch with their extensive leadership and strategic IT roles, which could impact cultural fit if the expectation is hands-on coding and low-level system design.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's extensive experience in leadership roles (CIO, CTO, Head of IT) suggests strong soft skills in strategic planning, team leadership, vendor management, and stakeholder communication. Their descriptions highlight initiatives focused on improving efficiency, user satisfaction, and business growth, indicating a results-oriented and operationally focused mindset. The roles involve significant change management and cross-functional collaboration, which are critical for operational fit.
