Design of an automated Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

• Chaired a team of 4 members for the IIT’s design challenge of creating an automated air vehicle, which should be capable of performing flight maneuvers automatically. • Conceptualized a Quad Copter model, capable of performing maneuvers such as takeoff, cruise and landing with fully automated controls. • Modeled the design using SolidWorks and fabricated the prototype model with the aid of R.C Quad copter kit and miniature Avionics equipment. • Programmed the necessary inflight parameters such as takeoff, cruise, landing and other flight manoeuvers using MATLAB programming, as per the design challenge. • Demonstrated strong team member qualities by effective group time management in order to finish the project within the deadline.
