Almost every web service one joins will require one to come up with a password. But what makes a good password? In June 2017 the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) published publication 800-63B titled Digital Identity Guidelines: Authentication and Lifecycle Management. This publication doesn't tell us what is a good password, but it does have specific rules for what is a bad password. In this project, I took a list of user passwords and, using publication 800-63B, I wrote a code that automatically detects and flags the bad passwords.
View ProjectCultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's projects show a mix of Java development and data-related tasks (Python, R, Jupyter Notebook). While the current role is Data Scientist, the project history indicates a broader interest, which could be a strength for cross-functional teams but also suggests a less focused path towards data science specifically. The 'competitive-coding' project indicates problem-solving interest. The 'Bad-Passwords' project shows an application of data analysis to a specific problem.
