Principal Software Engineer (Applied Data Science/ML) at Microsoft
Passionate in the fields of Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Natural Language Understanding, my primary goal is to pursue a professional career where my skills and prior experience can yield productive and successful work and collaborations. I majored in Autonomous Systems and Robotics and obtained the Master degree from the Swiss Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) in July 2013. I successfully accomplished several research projects in the fields of machine learning, image processing and robotics. During my education, I had the chance to participate to a one-year academic exchange program in Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. As a result, growing a genuine interest working in multicultural environments, I decided to start my career in South Korea as a Software Engineer at Samsung Electronics in the Smart TV division. I am currently working in as a Software Engineer (Machine Learning / Data Science) at Microsoft (Suzhou, China from 2015-2018 & Redmond, USA 2018-now). My work mainly focuses on Natural Language Processing and Text Understanding. Summary of key skills: - Technical domain: Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Business Analytics, Data Wrangling, Software Development, Robotics, Web Development - Main projects: Behaviour Analysis, User Profiling, Recommendation, Churn Prediction, Natural Language Processing, Language Understanding, Image Recognition - Programming languages: C/C++/C#, Python, CUDA, Hadoop, Matlab/Octave, R, PHP, JS, SQL, MongoDb, etc. - Machine Learning Techniques: Deep Neural Networks (CNN, RNN, LSTM, GRU, Seq-to-Seq, Attention Mechanism, …), Bayesian Nets (HMM, DBN), Clustering (SOM, HC, K-MEANS, GMM), Regression (Linear, SVR, GMR), Classification (KNN, Trees, Random Forest, Logistic Regression, Softmax, Naïve Bayes, …) - Development tools: Microsoft VS, Qt, Git, Code Flow Code
