Broke: 500 Internal Server Error` on `/health’, caused by internal bad commit: raise Exception("Something went wrong!") Learned / Fixed: Rolled back on Railway in 30 seconds, then pushed proper fix. And learnt one important thing in production and monitoring “Roll back first and diagnose second. Never investigate while end users are affected”.

Built: A natural-language-to-SQL tool (Python, Streamlit, LangChain) that lets users query a MySQL database in plain English, using Groq's llama-3.3-70b-versatile for generation, Ollama embeddings, and ChromaDB to ground responses in schema context. Broke: Errors shown AFTER irreversible operations-For DROP TABLE operations, the app was executing the query first, deleting the table, and then displaying an error message if the table didn't exist—making error handling useless and data already lost. Learned / Fixed: Implemented table existence checks BEFORE showing confirmation dialogs for DROP operations using database schema inspection. This prevents queries from executing against non-existent tables, catching errors before any data loss occurs. Users now see validation errors immediately (e.g., "table does not exist") without any database modifications
