I am a Software Engineer working at Chaldal, the largest online grocery service in Bangladesh. I am currently leading the development and migration of Chaldal’s in-house Mapping service to a modern GIS-based system. I am also working on the research and algorithm-based initiative of auto dynamic slot capacity. I have recently led a team that engineers software in the domain of Supply Chain Operations and Customer Experience. The main focus on the supply chain operations front is to build and maintain software that helps in product demand prediction, sourcing from vendors, stock distribution across warehouses, shelf inventory management, catalog and pricing management, order fulfillment operations etc. For customer experience side, the goal is to provide smooth web and app interfaces to the users for seamless shopping experience in Chaldal. My overall responsibility is to architect tech solutions to feature requests, lead projects, mentor engineers, maintain the quality of codebase, handle production alarms and make collaborative product decisions. Although my role is evolving towards leadership, I still continue to write code as per need. Overall, I have been enjoying my work as it lets me deal with interesting real world problems. A bit on the technical side. I specialize in the backend side of the world working with C# and F# in the .NET ecosystem. Recently I have also started diving in the world of Typescript and React. I love reading code as much as I love writing code. Additionally, I love optimizing stuff. I have had the opportunity and pleasure of optimizing various APIs and queries. Refactoring code to make it better is something I like and try to do. Also, I don't mind taking the thrill of debugging production issues. A bit on the personal side.
